Unable to play ripped audio CDs

05 Oct 2019, 16:40

I'm trying to play CD Audio images on Mega SD.
I used two methods to do it, but I got no success
First method, ripping with CDRDAO tool for Linux. Command line follows:

Code: Select all

cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --device /dev/sr0 --driver generic-mmc:0x20000 --driver generic-mmc:0x20000 --datafile ./audiocd.bin ./audiocd.cue
When I load the CD image into Mega SD, the Mega CD BIOS is loaded, followed by the CD player, but no music can be played. The interface only reports zero tracks, two-second and the entire interface hangs at all. Only Mega SD menu screen works.

Copying straight from file browser using gvfs plugin to convert from CDDA to WAV and writing the cue file on my own.
In that way, the Audio CD seens to work well, but with a noisier dirt audio.

I probed the generated WAV file with ffprobe, Follows

Code: Select all

ffprobe Track\ 1.wav
ffprobe version n4.2.1 Copyright (c) 2007-2019 the FFmpeg developers

And one track from generated cue file:

Code: Select all

FILE "Track 1.wav" WAVE

What I doing wrong?
