This is all very odd as we have been shipping Pro carts for nearly a year and this is the first time this has came up.

Hi Todd!
Can it be that the mould for the spacer has changed slightly for what ever reason? Just speculating since you seem to have had no problem before. I have 'rev. B' of the NeoSD Pro according to the PCB.

Love the product though... now that it is working

The second solution seems to work.

I had only filed off the inner side of the slots on the spacer. About a half (or one) millimeter in total.
I put the spacer in its original position and made no further modifications.

After assembling the module, the menu selection came up at 10 out of 10 boot attempts.

Yepp, according to my testing (which doesn't necessarily apply to all as in... 'I don't know') you should only have to file the inner two parts since those are the ones that push the PCBs outwards/bend them apart. At least in my case.

I can happily report success using Utgardaloki76 method filing the spacer. I have the spacer in its original position now. Thank you so much to Utgardaloki76 for root causing this.

I plan to test this out more but so far I have yet to see any of the issues I was having previously.

I hit this issue also and used the method from the official video yesterday morning.

Initially, I had problems with sound samples being garbled but bending the spacer down slightly so that the cartridge halves fit together tighter was enough to get it working perfectly.

Well I hope the issue is solved. All thanks to the the community and Terraonion. It was Todd that put things in motion by hinting towards some kind of structural problem rather than electronic while telling the community to open up the cart and take the spacer out and see if it would solve the problem. I mean I would obviously have preferred for the cart to have worked out of the box. But I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes and to then be forthcoming and to tell the community to open up your company’s electronics device and rip things out in order to get their customers up and running as well as a way of finding the cause and solution I think is very nice. This isn’t a large scale production and to be able to work together like this is great. If it weren’t for that I would still probably be moping thinking my NeoSD Pro was DOA having to send it back and all that crap.
