Bugs in Dreamcast games

04 Aug 2020, 15:10

Hello,

Just updated the MODE for Dreamcast and there's a couple bugs still present:

Marvel vs Capcom 2: Sound effects cut in and out

Super Street Fighter IIX: Character select loads very slow

Tried default settings and also the "RE trick" of turning on GD Seek and Setting disc read speed to slow. No changes. Interesting that the three problem games(including Resident Evil) are Capcom games lol

Using current Redump Versions(BIN/CUE)

MVC2 Issue fixed in R10

SSFIIX issue still remains in R10

SSFIIX problem is caused by an additional region protection the game has. MODE supports patching it with an appropiate patch file (also this patch enables correct RGB output) , if you play the .CDI version, it's patched.

Do you know where I can find that patch off chance?

Sorry for not sending the files before, I was not at home when I answered the first post.
Here are the patch files: https://we.tl/t-yqHtxzSae0 (I had to use wetransfer as I can't host it anywhere else)
Uncompress that zip to the root of your sd or hdd. It will create a folder named PATCHES with several files on it.
Those patches fix SSF2X extra region protection (for non JP consoles) and incorrect RGB output, and Silver, San Francisco Rush, and 4 Wheel Thunder extra region (for non US consoles)
