Do CPU-bound games run better?

Do games constrained by the CPU run better on the MegaSD?

For example, Wing Commander chugs a bit on original hardware. Does it perform better on the MegaSD?

If the lag is caused by the console cpu, it will be the same, as it's not improved by megasd. If it's because of the gpu rotation and scaling, it will improve if the graphics scaler speedup option is enabled. Also, unlike original megacd, megasd supports overclocking the main console cpu

Batman returns driving stages intro and gameplay habe much better framerate with speedup on.
