Freeze report on Japanese Mega CD "Shin Megami Tensei"

I tested with redump disc image MegaCD's "Shin Megami Tensei (Japan)".
Title is OK, but start and after a while, it freezed at the timing of the name input opened.


Hardware is Mega Sg.
version:4.7 NOV 5 2019
My megadrive was broken and could not be tested.

Mega SD setting is
version:01.03 R07
Emulate seek time: tested with checked and unchecked patterns.

JP CD BIOS:
Mega-CD 2 (JP) v2.00C
Graphics scaler speed up : checked NG, unchecked NG

Mega-CD (JP) v1.00S
Graphics scaler speed up : checked NG, unchecked NG

It's the Mega Sg. It works just fine on my Mega Drive, but it does crash on the Mega Sg. I'm using Wondermega 1.00 BIOS.

although I have not tested these other games yet myself. The MegaSD works fine on original hardware, from what I have seen, but I also did not test beyond the name input screen because it was like 0200 and I felt like my brain would explode if I read any more Japanese at the time.

I'll actually try playing the game for about an hour to see what happens. Should be more playable than the SFC version since the Mega-CD version actually has kanji instead of a giant blob of only kana, which gives me a headache.

Edit: It's absolutely the Mega Sg's fault. Was interesting to play this version and hearing the super weird YM2612 soundtrack for the first time, though...
