SD lawsuits and rebranding (SD2SNES to FXPak)

01 Jan 2020, 14:47

So what with Krikkz et al, changing their names of their products to avoid lawsuits from the SD syndicate, will Terraonion also be forced to change their product names too to avoid using "SD"?

Our stance is that SD stands for Super Drive in our products.

Love it!

Would have been funny if SD2SNES got rebranded as SD4SNES.... "Super Drive four SNES" LOL.

I find the new rebranding name FXPAK, to be rather generic unfortunately...

So it's the Super Super Drive System 3?

Edit: I guess at that point you could call it the S2DS3 and be safe. Make it like the PC Engine's CD ROM2, where the 2 is written as an exponent but still read as CD ROM ROM. Whatever. The Super Super Drive System 3 works, it does what is is supposed to do, and it does it very well, so whatever name it has is fine.
