The buzzer I reported is the noise that is heard synchronously with the timing to periodically access sd card to play cd audio.

Does that buzzing sound happen if you play Hucards? Apart from the usual PC Engine audio noise (which is present on all regular non modified consoles) I haven't heard any extra buzzing or noise. The only thing I noticed was the audio clipping, which is obvious if you listen to the Konami jingle and other familiar sounds.

Maybe because I'm not using the +5v line on my scart cable has a reason for that?

If you don't hook up the 5v line on your SCART cable then the blanking line won't be set to RGB mode. Many devices rely on the blanking line to switch between RGB and composite video mode. This is defined in the SCART standard.

Hmm, does this mean getting a composite as sync cable is a better idea for this device? (no csync)

I don't think so.

Out of curiosity I rewired my cable to composite sync and removed the 5v line. It's just buzzing as it was before.

Interesting. Are you using a V1? Is this confirmed to still be an issue with V2?

I have a V2 and the buzz is even confirmed by TerraOnion and people are working on it. It's rather strange that people are reporting that they don't have ANY buzzing at all.

I think in some cases either people's setups mask it or they just plain don't notice. Similar to how some people legitimately don't see the difference between a movie in standard definition and the same movie in high definition.

Considering the number of people reporting it, we know it's real. It's also safe to assume that every board has the issue. Obviously for some people it's not an issue in their eyes or ears, which is totally fine.

I wonder how it's possible not to hear actually. A guy I know who is also a musician was reporting no buzz on his device - I think he would hear.

I have a very good cable and multiple systems I tested - the buzz is very obvious on all of them.

I've posted videos without buzz of scart, jpn 21pin and hdretrovision. I had a variety of cheap cables give buzz too.

If you're talking about a buzz from the SSS3 console, I'm not experiencing that at all.
