Mode can alter the refresh rate if you connect pin79 of the VDP to the region pin on MODE. It can then automatically change between 50/60hz based on the game.

Unplug your controller after selecting it in MODE. Then plug it back in once it reaches the title screen. This is a bug with In The Hunt, not MODE. It's a known issue that happens even with real hardware. Go IREM!

That wouldn't brick your mode. Double-check your connections to be sure. If you still have issues, you can get real-time assistance on the discord server.

That would be unrelated. MODE does not use the 12v regulator. It has handling for it, but nothing on the board uses that.

I've seen lines in video caused by both capacitors on the main board and the PSU. I've also seen inductors cause similar issues. Most of the cables that say csync from RGC have sync strippers. Especially on systems that didn't actually offer csync. But I have seen sync strippers installed in the Genesis 2 cables before. So it's plausible.
